Introduction to Leather Stamping & Tooling

Join Lori Murphy of Rock Rose Leather Goods for a creative, hands-on introduction to the art of leather stamping and tooling. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their leatherworking skills. This workshop will guide you through the essential techniques used to prepare, tool, dye, and finish leather.
You’ll learn about different types of leather, essential leatherworking tools, and the differences between stamping, tooling, carving, and embossing. Lori will also introduce you to dyes, stains, paints, antique gels, and protective finishes, sharing practical tips for achieving beautiful, long-lasting results.
Each participant will design and create a custom wristband using pre-cut leather, then finish it and take it home at the end of the class. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece, foundational leatherworking skills, and helpful resources for continuing your leathercraft journey.
No previous experience is required, and all tools and materials are provided. Class size is limited so every participant receives personalized, hands-on instruction.
