Paint a Cardinal with Natalya Crier
November 8 | 1–4 PM | Local & Wild
Spend a creative afternoon bringing a beautiful cardinal to life! Join Austin artist and teacher Natalya Crier as she guides you step by step through painting your own artwork inspired by this beloved bird. With its brilliant feathers, the cardinal makes a cheerful subject for a painting to display during the holidays and enjoy throughout the year.
Natalya will walk you through the process, from establishing the cardinal’s basic shape to building color and adding the details that give your bird personality. Along the way, you’ll explore how brushwork, shading, and layers of color can bring depth and warmth to your painting. You’ll have guidance as you work, with room to make creative choices and give your piece your own personal touch.
Whether you’re trying painting for the first time or returning to something you’ve always enjoyed, this class offers an opportunity to slow down, learn, and spend an afternoon creating. You’ll leave with your own beautiful piece of artwork—just in time to add to your holiday decor or give as a heartfelt, handmade gift.
All materials and tools are provided. Just bring yourself and a little creative curiosity!
